Title: Spitfire over Stoke 13/09/2009
Post by: davewithington on September 16, 2009, 02:56:47 PM
I was out in my garden cutting hedges on Sunday last, 13th September,  when I heard that familiar Merlin beat. Looking up. I watched a Spitfire pass just North of my house at about 1000 feet, in a steady SSW direction, more or less heading towards Duxford.

I didn't have my binoculars immediately to hand, but it looked like a Griffon engined mark, with clipped wings.

Anybody know who it was, and which aircraft?
