Title: Looking for info on Maurice Choron and other Free French Spitfire pilots
Post by: gamary on November 25, 2010, 08:57:30 PM
Hello,

I'm a franco-american digital artist and I'm creating "profile illustrations" of Spitfires, and more specifically those used by Free French pilots.

Here are a few examples of my work:

Bernard Dupérier's.

I'd like to represent the Spitfires of Free french pilots, especially those flown by Maurice Choron, who fought in the Battle of Britain and was shot down and killed over France in 1942. He was born in the village next to mine. As next year will be the 100th anniversary of his birth, I'd like to make some sort of description of his life and feats. Members of the French Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will be helping me in organizing the event and doing some research.

I was hoping that some of the forum members might have useful pictures to share? Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Bertrand Brown (aka Gaëtan Marie)
