Title: Jonny Baxter
Post by: 109boy on April 01, 2009, 10:43:42 AM

I am new on here and wondered if anyone can help me. I am trying to find out some info on a Spitfire pilot named Johnny Baxter.
Aparently he flew with Jonnie Johnson from Lubeck in 1945 and was part of the BoB flypast later that year. Postwar he served in local government and received an OBE in 1987. Johhny died in 1988. Other than that I haven't been able to find out much more.

Anything else, particularly photos, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Chris,

Here is some small info that Steve Brew ( ) and I ( ) have about him:

BAXTER, John., Flt. Lt., Service number?, RAFVR; with 350 Sqdn., 6 May 45, with 41 Sqdn., October 45 (prob. earlier); 80 Sqdn., 123 Wg., 7 Feb. 1946.

Do you know perhaps his birthday or his Service number when at the RAF.

Best regards from Belgium,
