Hello to all,

I'm totally new here, found something yesterday with the metal-detector near a place where a Spitfire-plane has crashed during WW2.
Does any one recognize the parts on the picture please Huh No numbers or inscriptions are found on the object.

Thanks for reactions!!

Interesting.Having no numbers makes it hard to ID.A lot of things stick out though. The curved shape, the rivets, the bolts and the teardrop section.Curve is fairly tight so there are a few places on the plane where this is.The rivets are steel and could be screws, the bolts look very similar to the type used in the fuel tanks, the teardrop could be rear end of a fairing or blister.Lot of questions...Have you tried here as well??A lot of highly knowledgeable spitfire restoreres post here..
