Hi all, Love the site. I hope someone could help me with a model I'm about to make? I have a picture which I have hopefully attached showing an instrument panel of an early mk1 spitfire which I took during the restoration by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society
You'll notice that on the lower right hand side there are two fuel gauges, is this correct of all MK1s as all scale models just show the one? Also as you'll notice from the other image that after frame No11 the aircraft is silver as is the Mk5 that is on your web site in the Anatomy of the Spitfire Cockpit is this correct. Hope you can help.
Many thanks.

The panel matches the photo in the Pilot's Notes, held in Kew, and mod 237, dated August 1940, reads "To delete fuel contents gauge for upper fuel tank and to fit explanatory label."  This was listed to pertain to the I & II, and the Pilot's Notes, for the II, only show a single gauge.
