Hi, this is my first post having lurked here for a while.

I am presently modelling a Spit IX and was thinking of doing a camo scheme for the Spit Jack Charles was flying in May 1943.  I believe he was in 611 Squadron at Biggin Hill at the time, but am not sure whether he was W/C and therefore had the penant and own initials on the Spit at the time.  All the schemes I have seen for his Spit show EJ-C with D-day stripes and therefore a 1944 scheme.  Does anyone have information that might assit me on this?

Many thanks.
