 Hi,
does anyone know what airfoils have been used for the vertical and horizontal tailplanes of the spitfire?
I want to reconstruct a Spitfire Mk.V in 3d.

Thanks and best regards,

I'm not sure of an airfoil designation. I believe the horizontal stab was symmetrical, but I'm not positive because I only have the offsets for the top skin. I'm missing nose rib drawings for frame 20, but otherwise I've finished drawing the vertical fin. I've had difficulty with attachments here, so PM me and I can send you the horizontal drawing.

Hi Nate,Merry Xmas and a great New Year mate. The Morningford MkIX book will give you info that might finish off the tail.It is not as accurate as working off the drawings but you will have to "meld" one to suit the other..

Thanks,
I'll look that one up. I'm done for the most part, it would be nice to have the nose ribs, but that isn't too hard to make up.
Happy New Year to all,
Nate
