Is it possible to identify an aircraft from a set of wheels?

Doubtful.Unless the serial number was painted,drawn on with pencil or some other means.

The wheels are stamped with the serial numbers of a sort,many thanks.

If there is an aircraft serial stamped on it,not the wheel manufactureres serial then it will be in here..
