I was building this RC Spitfire To show Bob on his 90th birthday next week. Sadly as you may know Bob passed away a few weeks ago.
It is based on a Parkzone spitfire
A friend is planing on getting permission to fly our Spitfires at or near as many of the old Battle of Britain airfields through out the summer as we can.





I used this picture as my reference.

That is a truly stunning model. Bravo!

One of my dream projects for a long time has been to build a strip-wood Spitfire model... perhaps leave it uncovered, in 'wireframe mode'.

Do you have any pictures of the structure before covering?

Apart from a slight kink in the engine“s upper cowling you cant tell the in-flight pictures from the real thing. Beautiful!
