Converting Tamiya's 1/32 Mk IXc to a RAAF Mk VIII

Hi all, my first post here, and it's a really basic question I'm afraid - what do I need to do to convert Tamiya's 1/32 IXc to a Mk VIII (apart using the pointed rudder and installing a retractable tailwheel)? Are there any other major/minor airframe differences? And what variant of Mk IX cockpit should I go for - early, late or something in between? My guess is late-ish - I have some good reference photos, but a second (or third!) opinion is always good.
thanks in advance, Brad

Other external differences would be shorter span ailerons and the Coffman starter blister on the starboard side. Not entirely sure about the cockpit I'm afraid.

You should wait a bit.
Tamiya is releasing the VIII very soon

Internally Frame 11,the one the pilots seat mounts too has a different internal shape.Frame 10,the one under the seat has some Lightening holes deleted and the strangthening gussets enlaged.Think rest of frames and structure ok.
