First off, I've just found this forum, joined right away and am now in 7th heaven.  Congrats to the Moderators for coming up with such an excellent site.

Here goes then.

I have just about every available 1/72 K5054 Prototype Spit Model and wish to create a diarama of it in all of it's various paint jobs .

I'm trying to do some research about the very first bare metal version as it was initially rolled out of the Hanger at Eastleigh for it's maiden flight.  My trouble being is that I've read conficting reports about the fusalage being either bare metal or lightly coloured yellow/green.  Also if the wooden prop was left in it's natural colour or sprayed in an aluminium  finish.

If anyone has any thoughts on what the definitive finish should be, I'd be eternaly gratefull
