Greetings to all.
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have recently been given an aviation compass in what appears to be its original box. The compass looks like a P8 but on the box is stamped the letters TYPE PS.
Inside the box is stamped Examined A.C.I.S. 24 Dec 1942.
The compass itself is in its metal housing. This has a plate with AM Ref. No. 6A/0.725 attatched to the outside. The compass itself doesn't contain any liquid.
Does anyone know what aircraft the compass would have been used in.

Thanks
