Any pics or info/references for the few Mk VI Spits that flew out of Egypt in 1942? I understand that there were five or so that were used for a few months before being converted to PR spits, then converted to clipped wing day fighters. Was there an RCAF unit that flew them or just some Canadian pilots flying the extended wing spits. Any info would be helpful. Also, any info on the Special Duty Flight or the HF Mk VII used in Italy by both American and British units?
