I am getting ready to spend this autumn on two big Tamiya Spitfires. I plan to take my time...
Got myself some nice masks to do JEJ's MkXI...and started browsing for the right colors.
And what a response from Mrs. Google (has to be female, pretends to know everything)...but all of them refer to non-acrylic paints.
Now my favorite paint is LifeColor..can anybody tell me what to use here (any other acrylic would do too)?

thanks,

Harald

Antoni,

thanks!

Do you have an idea for the roundel colors as well (the red, blue and yellow) ?

For Yellow UA140 should do. White Ensign are the only company that I know of that  have the wartime Dull Red and Dull Blue identification colours in their range but they are oil based. The closest FS 595 matches 30109 and 35048 respectively.

Not sure if this would be any help to you, but if you can get your hands on Humbrol acrylics, you might find 113 (Rust) and 77 (Navy Blue) in the ballpark for the dull ident colours.  I'm thinking of the old Scale Colours recommendations for Humbrol Authentic Rust and Navy Blue for that application.

Best regards,
Joseph
