Hi Folks. My interest in Spitfires is not only the engineering aspect of the machine (As it is with any machine to me) but also modelling the aircraft. Here are a few of my builds old and new (ish) for your perusal.

PM Spitfire. A very basic model depicting a MKVb trop.

Airfix MK1a (older moulds) made to depict an early MKVa aircraft in soviet markings (These are pure conjecture based on pictures and guesswork)

Workbench with a 1/48th Hobbymaster Diecast MKII being re-marked.

A trip to Airfix whilst doing some work for Corgi allowed me to photograph some of their prototype models in their showroom.

A 109. Tally ho chaps.

Pure 'what if'

Yet to be marked when the pic was taken

Another Soviet MKVa Again markings are conjecture.

Not quite finished model of RAF Church Fentons gate guard.

1/32 scale PRVI (Now sadly no more due to a now ex having a 'smashing' time.  Angry

Another Soviet Spitfire (Now given to a friend)

Hope you enjoyed looking at my hacked plastic.  Grin More can be seen at http://uamf.org.uk

All the best.

Hi Roger.
Cheers for the kudos. I may have the parts for the 1/32 one some place so if I can find them all and time permits it may get a re-build. I have some more Spitfires in the collection to build but I have some cold war stuff to do for the Telford model show in November first (though I suppose I could include the new Airfix MK22 in that) and I have some Hurricanes to do too. Not to mention the CIA B17.

All the best.

The Spitfire 22 got built. Here's the pic.

Airfix Spitfire MK22

This is a great little kit (Pity the photography wasn't great though  Embarrassed ) and I recommend it to beginners and expert builders alike.

All the best.
