I have been offered some new boxed  vintage aircraft radio antennas that I'm told are what were fitted to Spitfires. Can anyone confirm this?

I have photographed one beside a damaged Type 93 antenna which I understand is the real thing. The new ones are manufactured by Doolittle Radio Inc and labelled 110B/213 althouh the base is stamped 110BB/879 and NAF68986-1. They do not have any writing on the antenna element itself. The internals look identical apart from the central lug being slightly larger.

Can anybody shed any light on these?

For some reason I can't get the pics loaded here but I have hopefully created a link to the photos here  http://s1380.photobucket.com/user/knickerlessparsons/slideshow/Spitfire%20antenna%20or%20not

Thanks
Andy
