Hi all

For my first post I'd like to share some shots of Brendon Deere's stunning IXc, taken at RNZAF Ohakea about two weeks prior to her first flight.

Thank you. Wonderful to see a Mk. IXc with fishtail exhausts and all. Do you know which version of the Merlin is featured on this one?

Hi Martin! First off, what a great discussion forum! I look forward to learning and sharing much here.

According to the aircraft's website - http://www.integration.co.nz/spitfirepv270/index.htm - she is fitted with a Merlin 70.

As today is ANZAC Day here in New Zealand, PV270 will perform flyovers around the local area today, landing at Wanganui airport for the first time. I've waited a long time to see this happen, and I look forward to seeing and hearing her again.

I left the camera's charger in Blenheim after the Classic Fighters airshow over Easter - PV270's public debut - so this photograph, taken with my cellphone, is all I have!

Those are some absolutely amazing pictures. New Zealand seems to be the aircraft restoration place to be these days.
