Good evening,
I was on the M25 on Wednesday 22nd April and overtook a low loader with a Merlin engine on blocks, Spitfire fuselage and wings. I couldn't take a closer look, but the paint on the wing I could see appeared very dark, as did the roundel. I am a bit of an aircraft nut and pointed it out to my wife who said it must be the one that recently sold. I am pretty sure it wasn't the Grace Spitfire and wonder if anyone knows its identity. We had just past the M11 so I wonder if it was coming from Duxford or North Weald.
This is my first post on what looks to be a very interesting forum.
many thanks in anticipation of replies.
